Pediatric Occupational Therapy uses a play-based approach to develop children's key developmental skills to gain independence, confidence, and connection. Common challenges treated include: frequent or long-lasting meltdowns, sensitivity to stimuli such as textures or noises, avoidant or sensory-seeking behaviors, impulse control, distractibility, and delayed executive function or motor abilities. Treatment can also address difficulty with self-care tasks such as brushing teeth, dressing, tying shoes, keeping track of belongings, or managing transitions. What matters to our clients remains central to our sessions so they can feel seen, heard, and supported.
