They are missing developmental milestones for fine or gross motor control, social, or cognitive development.
They need support completing age-level self care tasks, such as: eating, sleeping, or dressing.
Their support needs impact daily life or family dynamics.
Our 1-hour evaluation uses a combination of standardized and non-standardized assessments to establish a baseline for your child's current skills compared to similar-aged peers. They complete a variety of written tabletop tasks and gross motor movements that address the following categories: sensory processing, fine motor and gross motor coordination, self-care, emotional regulation, and executive function. An evaluation takes place in person, and snack and water breaks are encouraged as needed. A report of the findings and treatment recommendations is provided within 1-2 weeks of the evaluation. The evaluating therapist will also be your child's weekly session therapist.
Sessions are 45 minutes. We target goals through play! For some children this includes obstacle courses to target bilateral coordination and strengthening, fine motor games to increase self-care independence, or sensory integration to boost regulation. Sessions incorporate the child's interests to keep it meaningful and fun.
Parents must remain on-site during their child's sessions. We welcome you to join us in the session or wait in the lobby area.
We do offer Telehealth on a case-by-case basis to navigate illness, travel, and other accommodations.
